Kathryn Moran (oceanographer at the University of Rhode Island) and Jan Backman (paleooceanographer at Stockholm University) have contributed an interesting article on the Arctic Ocean to Geotimes. It provides some perspective on the Arctic Coring Expedition and what can be learned from the cores.
