Typhoon Jangmi Hits Taiwan

Typhoon Jangmi is expected to hit Taiwan today with high winds and heavy rain. The heavy rain is expected to produce local flooding and mudslides. The image at right is a windspeed map of Typhoon Jangmi from Earth Observatory produced from data collected by NASA on September 25 while it was off the coast of Luzon, Philippines.
