M6.3 Earthquake: Christchurch, New Zealand

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred near Christchurch, New Zealand on Tuesday, February 22 at 1:04 PM local time. The earthquake was at a depth of just 4.2 miles and was strongly felt at the surface.
