Pig Triggers a “Volcanic Eruption”

A pig on the island of Tofua in the Tonga archipelago triggered a “volcanic eruption” that was powerful enough to cause aviation concerns.

This event is listed in the volcanic advisories under “Wellington VAAC“). It should be listed until about August 18th local time.
