World’s Largest Telescope

The world’s largest telescope, located at an elevation of 5000 meters above sea level in Chile’s Atacama Desert, will be able to see wavelengths of light that are invisible to humans and produce images that are ten times sharper than Hubble. Its name is ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array).
