This collection contains fifteen specimens, each representing one gem mineral or material in a rough (uncut) state. Examples of gem materials that might be included: corundum, tourmaline, obsidian, amazonite, rose quartz, garnet, petrified wood, amethyst, smokey quartz, aventurine, chalcedony, agate, jasper and others. The specimens represent the type of material which is used for gem selection, but they are not necessarily of the high quality to produce a finished gem. Packaged in an attractive specimen box with a plastic tray to keep your collection organized. Specimens range in size from approximately 1/2 inch to over 1 inch in maximum dimension.
