This map shows many of Maryland's important cities and most important roads. Important north - south routes include: Interstate 81, Interstate 83, Interstate 95, Interstate 97, Interstate 495 and Interstate 695. Maryland Rivers Map:
This map shows the major streams and rivers of Maryland and some of the larger lakes. Most of Maryland is in the Atlantic Ocean Watershed and the rivers there drain into Chesapeake Bay. The Eastern Continental Divide passes through the western panhandle and the western most part of Maryland is in the Mississippi River Watershed. Most of these lakes and streams can be clearly seen on the Maryland Satellite Image. We also have a page about Maryland water resources.

This is a generalized topographic map of Maryland. It shows elevation trends across the state. Detailed topographic maps and aerial photos of Maryland are available in the Geology.com store. See our state high points map to learn about Backbone Mtn. at 3,360 feet - the highest point in Maryland. The lowest point is the Atlantic Ocean at Sea Level.
