Where is Mexico? |
Cancun Profile:
Cancun is located on the eastern edge of the Yucatan Peninsula. This coastal city is in Mexico’s state of Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean Sea.
Visible Communities in the Satellite Image: There is a great deal of undeveloped area surrounding Cancun. However a few other cities, communities and towns are visible in this image. These include: Puerto Juarez, Alfredo V Bonfil, Nizuc El Rey, Mujeres, Leona Vicario, Nichupte and Nizuc.
Visible Features in the Satellite Image: The city of Cancun is seen prominently expanding westward from the Caribbean Sea. The most obvious physical feature in this image is the contrast of undeveloped land and the populated shore and islands. A few man-made and physical features which are visible include the Cancun International Airport, Caribbean Sea, Nichupte Lagoon, Isla Mujeres and Isla Blanca.
