Katowice is located in south-central Poland. It is the capital of the the Silesian Province.

Some of these include: Mikolow, Tychy, Sosnowiec, Smyslowice, Jaworzno, Chorzow, Siemianowice Slaskie, Swietochlowice, Ruda Slaska, Bytom, Dabrowa Gornicza, Zabrze, Gliwice, Tarnowskie Gory, Ruda Slaska, Bierun, and Chelm Slaski.

Visible Features in the Satellite Image:


There are numerous lakes visible in this image. Some of the larger include: Zbiornik Imielinski, Swierklanieckie, Dzierzno Male, Dzierzno Duze, Pogoria. In addition, the image shows large areas of agriculture and wooded regions surrounding the city.
