Mexico city is located in southcentral Mexico. It is the second most populated city in the world and the capital of Mexico.

Some of the other cities and communities which can be seen in this image include Toluca, Chalco, Netzahualcoyotl, Ecatepec, Texcoco, Ixtapaluca, Nicolas Romero, Coacalco, Ciudad Lopez Mateos, Tlalnepantla, Naucalpan de Juarez, Santa Maria Chimalhuacan.

Visible Features in the Satellite Image:

Other features visible in this image include: very mountainous terrain to the east, west and south of Mexico City. This includes the glacier-clad stratovolcanoes, Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl located in the southeastern region of this image. Lakes, reservoirs and rivers are also visible including Lago de Texcoco, which is east of the city.
